is it normal to get 1oz in 30 min from one boob this is my first time pumping my baby is 6 days old i had to formula feed since direct breastfeeding was painful i got pump yesterday and started to pumped just now and will continue to every 2-3 hours. is 1oz too little?
Nothing wrong with that! As long as your baby is fed that's all that matters. I am planning to breastfeed and hopefully he latches and we have no problems but if not then formula it is. Some women just can't do it due to pain and get frowned upon or the baby just simply doesn't take to it. You do what you need to do momma :)
yess i totally agree thats why im doing both :) pumping doesnt hurt like direct i only get 1-2 oz at a time so i feed her a few bottles of breastmilk and a few of formula @mrsb14
okay awesome thank you so much @wiccanmommy and yes mam i agree ive been doing skin to skin @mommytoprincessmckenzie
@mommytoprincessmckenzie, im pumping its the same thing just in the bottle and not on my boob.
My nipples are cracked and sore and they had even scabbed up. It takes some time to get use to it.
Breastfeeding is gonna hurt. It's normal. Don't give up! Use nipple cream. And did a lactation counselor show you some positions to use? I had trouble at first too. And I still do. But breast is best, it's healthier.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
i know i got frowned upon the whole time in the hospital then finally one nice nurse said yes to giving me formula the others basically refused saying oh ur hurting ill sent the nurse to help ur find a better position. my opinion on it is if i am crying in pain while feeding she can feel my stress how is tht suppose to be bonding? and if i dread feeding her and get all upset becus of the pain how is that suppose to be healthy? my baby desrves to eat i shouldnt dread wanting to feed her which is why i said i will do fomula but now i have a pump and it doesnt hurt at all so now i can do both:) @mrsb14
