Right ladies!! I don't think this baby is going to come naturally and I'm due to be induced tomorrow...SO...does anyone have any advice or tips about being induced? Any stories that you wouldn't mind sharing? (Ones that aren't going to scare me half to death haha)
@briony1994, I was the same as @holliesinead & @peachesx - hormone drip makes it very hard. Contractions are intense so if you want an epidural make sure you ask before they put the drip in so they can have someone ready to put it in. I was left too late & by the time they found someone to give me the epidural it was too late as I needed to push!! Xx
@briony1994, if your getting induced, your not too far from the hospital, your low risk & you want to queens offered me an outpatients induction! I had to go in they did all the monitoring and put in the pessary and then said I could go home for 24hrs! In this heat it was much more comfortable and I could have someone with me at all times! Mine did fall out which is apparently very rare and would have happened even if I stayed in hospital. Obviously it's up to personal choice! They put it in at 10am I started early labour and getting small pains at about 10:30pm. I was only in active labour for 10hrs45mins! Started about 2pm on the 20th had him at 00:03 on the 21st. The contractions were bloody painful but I could bare them with gas n air until the last 2hours where I caved in for an epidural! Which helped speed things up for me and I was only pushing for 35mins!xxx
Here's hoping and praying for a fast labour too hahaa!!! @mummy2be2016 xxx
@briony1994, yeah they do.. Never know tho. You could be fast. Here's hoping baba comes soon 😍xxx
Thanks girls!! @sinlou93 I can barely walk now never mind when I'm in labour haha!! @beadyeyes93 that's my plan for today, going to do my eyebrows, paint my nails, have a bath, do a face mask and just relax! Maybe it will do the trick to bring her on haha! @peachesx @holliesinead oh trust me I'm a wuss so I'll be asking for all the pain relief possible!! And I sure as hell want an epidural haha! @mummy2be2016 wow that's quick but then again don't they say the more labours the quicker they get?xxxx
Not my experience but my sister got started with her 3rd baby. She got persery in at 6pm, was 0cm at 10pm and delivered my niece Andie at 11.17pm.. Gas and air only @briony1994 xxxxx
Being induced is not natural and no one told me this until after I was screaming and crying for pain relief you can not do it without it the process is unnatural for the body and makes contractions come in thick and fast and very very intense! My induction was only 10 hours with Albie so it was quite quick once I had the epidural I had a good birth slept the entire time pushing lasted 40 mins. Tell you what does bloody hurt is the cannula they stick in your hand 😷😩 my god if you do have to have that I'd say out of the whole labour that hurt the most lol sorry if I've scared you Hun no one told me about anything I had to find out for myself screaming and crying lol but I'm sure your be braver than the wimp I was 😂🙈😘 xxz
You never no Hun I was due to be induced with my first and I really relaxed, pampered myself the night before ect didn't think about babs at all and my waters broke during night and had him within 8hours so you never know Hun!! Xxx
@daniluvsdis, I'm about half hour away from hospital so we'll have to see what they say, I'd rather be home than having to stay at hospital on my own. @natroberts88 I definitely want an epidural so I'll be telling them that straight away haha! I'm a wuss when it comes to any sort of pain lol xxx
