flu shot?? thinking of not getting it for my daughter..anyone else feel the same ??

I didn't get it. I'm also pro vax like @ftmommieoftwiinz and I agree the shot just makes you so sick I didn't think it was worth it. Also with breastfeeding it protects him so much when I was sick a few weeks ago he was fine

I'm not nursing I tried all I could with my baby she would throw up badly and I hated seeing her that way so bottle feeding it is for her 😣😣😣 but yes im avoiding the flu shot and probably will wait until she is older and that is if I still feel the same about it idk why that is the only one I don't want her to get 😅😅

I declined when it was offered at 6 months, but only for this reason: the doctor said there was only about a week left of flu season anyway, and also she is still being protected by my breastmilk. At that time I had the flu myself 4 times already since her birth and not once did she catch it! Now she is 11 months old today and I have been super sick (temp up to 103 for 3 days or more in a row, not just a little cold) 7 times since her birth 😱 and she's STILL never been sick!!! I'm glad I chose not to give her the flu shot this time at least because I felt it was unnecessary, she has plenty of opportunities to gain immunities from me and build her immune system herself for now. That doesn't mean I am anti-vax but I do believe in less is more when it comes to medications. When she is older and no longer nursing, I will most likely agree to the flu shot if it is offered again.

I'm pro vax..except that shot. I've never gotten the flu in my 27 years of life until I got that shot last year. I was sick for 2 weeks. never again. my twins won't be getting it.

having babies with the flu can be very dangerous. I will vaccinate as long as we are able. my first boy couldn't have the vaccine this year and of course got it... it was brutal

I only ever get the flu when I don't get the vaccine so we probably will.
