Ladies, im after some advice, even though this is my 3rd baby i am really considering breast feeding properly for the first time. How can i prepare? are there any essentials and can you pass on any knowledge. Thanks mummas
You poor ladies. This is why I will only persist this time again if no problems. It's not fair that society puts such pressure on to breast feed.
Your health is just as important as your babies and if breast feeding isn't working for whatever reason, midwifed should lay off the pressure!
As long as baby is fed and mum is well- that's what's best for baby I say x
he drank* the whole lot. the midwife gave me a right mouthful. 18 and a first time mum.. god i felt brilliant 😣😣😔😔
omg that sounds horrific 🙈 you poor woman!! sometimes the drs/midwives can be useless. when my first wouldnt feed i asked for a bottle and he drabk
My third was tongue tied and I was fobbed off at the hospital when she wouldn't feed. They send me home cup feeding. 6 weeks I had hell with her refusing to feed and an abscess in my boob from mastitis and hallucinating from the sepsis. And eventually went to a bf clinic where they found it and referred to the max facial surgeon. Was furious
my first was tongue tied which cause him to have an excruciatingly strong sucking reflex but they didnt pick up on it.. i did. So i was really mad at myself when i realised it wasnt my fault that we had to stop, i thought i couldnt handle it but turns out he couldnt latch properly and cause i was so use to bottle feeding its what i naturally did with my 2nd but i really wanna breast feed with this one. just scared i guess 😔 @donzi.harri @mummya @suzie80
I'd deffo agree with perservence it's so rewarding I was gutted when I had to stop early last time as I got sick and needed meds that weren't save breast feeding with
Loved breast feeding especially for the night feeds. So easy with no prepping of bottles etc needed.
hoping to breast feed again this time x
what @suzie80 said.. I've breast fed successfully after 2 failed attempts with my first 2 children.. lansinoh nipple cream is a must.. its expensive but worth it.. my milk didn't come for 4 days... but I kept going.. it can be frustrating.. but you just have to persevere xx
Nipple shields nipple creams and lots of perservence. Lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

I will be 41 :/
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
i completely agree @mummya
