When do they start checking to seen if your dilated or effaced ??

It just depends on the Doctor. Some don't, some will only if you're over due, and some will start at 36w

Just ask. I'm quite sure they won't say no especially since you're almost 39w

@aylissakierra, I would definitely ask. My doc starts at 36 weeks.. And then checks every week till I deliver!

Some wont check unless you ask because it's not necessary. Otherwise, many offices start around 36 to 37 weeks
