help I'm a ftm and packing my diaper bag for hospital so far I have
2 sets of 0-3 PJs
2 sets of NB PJs
2 0-3 outfits
2 NB outfits
2 pacis
pack of wipes
NB diapers
what am I missing????
How many outfits do you ladies pack for the hospital? I’m thinking 2 nb outfits and two 0-3 month outfits in case he’s huge, then the coming home outfit? I either pack way too much or way too little lol
Ok ladies since the doc gave me the news of such an early c section yesterday I have went into complete and full nesting mode. I have no idea how much of each a baby needs. I know it's a lot but my husband is asking and I'm like idk I think we have enough blankets ect, ect... Here is my list... I know we need a lot and some are a given like diapers, wipes, lotions, soaps and things like that but you can still give me an idea of how many we need. Thanks in advance!! Bella's inventory: 1 box of newborn diapers 2 packs of size 1 diapers 1 box of wipes 5 NB booties 3 NB shoes 1 bottle cleaner 1 formula dispenser (I'm actually breastfeeding) 1 pack of spoons and forks 2 teethers 2 rattles 3 brush/comb sets 6 packs of hair bows 6 wash cloths 1 hooded towel 1 lotion, 1 baby wash, 1 baby powder 6 blankets 17 bibs 4 plain white NB onesies long sleeve 7 NB onesies 4 NB sleepers 11 (0-3 outfits) 3 (0-3 one piece designer onesie) 1 (0-3 polo sleeper) not sure if that's for bed or out? 1 (0-3 onesie with leg warmers) 2 (0-3 coats) 4 (3-6 outfits) 2 (3-6 rompers) 2 (3-6 track suits) 2 (3-6 designer onesies) ( meaning I think they should be worn going out not to sleep in but idk) 1 (3-6 blouse) 4 (6-9 outfits) 1 (6-9 coat) 3 (6-9 onesies) 1 (6-9 romper) I'm thinking baby will be born around 5 pounds because I will only be 35 weeks. I am not sure if I should get a couple of preemie outfits just in case. Is a newborn coat necessary? I'm in upstate NY. I have no idea how many socks, onesies, gowns, sleepers I need to buy. How many mittens? My husband wants answers and I just guess and hope I'm right. I know we should really focus on the first three months and everything else we can kind of buy what we need but it would nice to have a good stockpile but I'm not sure the quantity baby will use...

How long did everyone NB stay in NB diapers?? Should i just get 2 boxes ??
When you ladies packed you're babies 'coming home outfit' was it newborn size or 0-3 months?

i packed blankets in mine three swaddle/receiving ones and a thicker one for car ride home. but I live in az where it's hot.

i mean a thicker one for car ride cause my boy will be here in October when it's a little cooler but there a lot smaller

you won't need diapers an wipes ubless you don't plan on going straight home.
I was told all I needed was an outfit to go home in lol. Alright well I packed a few outfits just incase I didn't know his size

Best thing I brought was a couple extra tote bags folded up in my bag to bring stuff home. The hospital gave us a bunch of stuff (diapers, wipes, baby soaps, gauze and pads for me, disposable underwear, ice packs, etc) and our visitors had brought gifts for us as well.

the hospital will provide the diaper and wipes for as long as you're there

I really didn't dress him in his clothes that I brought until we were heading home. They provided stuff for him to wear, my nurse friend warned me against putting him in his own clothes for fear of loosing them/leaving them behind since the linens are constantly being changed out.

I did wipes and diapers cause idk if I'll go straight home after were able to leave. and what he doesn't wear stays in his bag so I don't lose it lol also my mom will be there to be sure I don't lose them

I don't think you will need all those outfits a few 0-3 will be good ..

Everyone told me I packed too much but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! My boss sent me a list on Pinterest that helped a lot so we packed: two binkies, diapers and wipes (newborn and size one in case he's big), a swaddled blanket plus a bigger one in his car seat, burp rags, mittens, socks, two newborn and two 0-3 outfits, and his little toy lovey just because its cute 😊 a lot of the stuff we packed because we wanted to use our own stuff some because its all so cute... lol

yay I'm not the only one! someone told me to pack a premie outfit ok like other than him measuring already 6,lbs o know damn well he doesn't need them I was almost 9lbs and his daddy was almost 10 premie is unnecessary
