For ladies that store their milk; how much should I store in the little baggies? Lactation consultant told me I should just store 3 ounces but there's a limit for 6 ounces on the bag ..
Depending how old your baby is. 2 oz is always a safe number because it's not very much and most likely to be used. I wouldn't do anything more than 4 oz because you can always thaw more.
Uhm, that's actually a really good question.. I believe you just figure six months from the day you pumped. I would just put the expiration date as January 18, 2017, like you did.
Oh okay; & so if I'm going to save some milk I pumped July 18 & I'm going to freeze it would the expiration date be January 18 2017? Or how does that work if some months have more days than others @babes101116 @tiffany_sanft
What @babes101116 said. I never stored more than 4 ounces at a time. And lay them flat to freeze so you have more room and that way they thaw evenly.
Thanks 😊 @tiffany_sanft
