Is lavender and Teal good colours for a little girls room? I don't want to go with pink or anything like that.
@1sttimemummy, right?! Thank god for my boyfriend. He's making this all really easy. But i swear to god if this house smells like paint for even a second, I'm gonna make him sleep on the lawn until our daughter is born 😂😝
@1sttimemummy, hubby is talking to his paint guy to see what brand the guy uses. Idk how any of that works. My part is picking out the colours and that's it 😆
For sure haha and oh man I wish I could remember the brand but, there's this really good type of paint that's prefect for kids. It is easy to wipe off and doesn't fade when you have to scrub it because it's been written on haha I think it's at home depot though
@1sttimemummy, I didn't think it was morbid either but he insists. And since he's paying for it all, I can't complain too much. My only stipulation was that we need to have the painters use completely odorless paint. I hate the smell of paint 😣
Hahaha I don't see it as a morbid color but, even if it was so what haha you could make the point of red white and blue ;P haha but, I like the purple and teal idea too. Check out pintrest they have some pretty sweet ideas.
@1sttimemummy, hubby said that it's not appropriate for a little girls room. 🙈 he thinks it's morbid. Lol. I think it's awesome but purple is good enough. Anything but pink.
Red is a girlyish color too haha it'd totally work! pink does come from red! ;P
@1sttimemummy, if it were up to me, the room would stay red! 😂. @tiffrae thanks! I thought it would look good but I wasn't totally confident. 🙈
Totes! haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't want pink! Everyone thought I was crazy!
purple, teal, and gray go good together.
@shentges1991, @babygirl10-11 @1sttimemummy @tiffrae @rmreed Thanks ladies! Right now the room is red (almost exactly the same red as my hair) and my bf just now decided we should paint it. So it's my job to figure out colours and I'm not the girliest of girls so colour coordinating has never really been a strong suit of mine. I definitely did not want to go with any form of pink, and considering purple is the colour of royalty, I couldn't go wrong, right? 😁
I am doing mint, lavender and gray :) I'm not a pink person either haha
i love teal and lavender together feels like sweet happiness lol
My daughters room is lime green & pink. She is 5, she picked out the colors 😃
😂haha damn straight!
