little Arlo is breast (mainly) but topped up with formula .. does anyone know if I need to give him cool boiled water in this heat??

@jodieiokie, ahh ok. no there not feeling overly full or hard fairly soft today. thanx @suzie80 I will keep that in mind. I have been massaging them so hopefully tomorrow they will feel abit better.. great advice girls. thankyou xx

@donzi.harri, keep an eye on that Hun if u get any bruising or redness or spike a fever u need to be seen. Keep feeding regularly and if baby isn't emptying u may want to pump the rest out. Just keep an eye out for mastitis can make u very poorly. Early warnings can be feeling very painfully full and hot or stabbing pains. As can thrush in your breast as well

Just like full and solid... You might get some pain if you need to express some milk. Xx

Your probably just regulating, make sure baby is feeling often and try to massage inbeteeen feeds just incase your getting clogged. Do you feel really engorged? Xx

thankyou @winterbaby95 @jodieiokie also my breasts were feeling a lot better yesterday, today they are tender and I keep getting stabbing pains... is this normal... baby 6 days old x

I second the above I've never given cool boiled water when breast feeding but u may find baby feeds little and often to get the fore milk to quench there thirst.

Breastfed babies don't need water until 6 months Hun. The fore-milk in your breast milk is mainly water and will quench his thirst and keep him hydrated. Nurse as much as possible though. Xx

No breast milk is fine unless water is advised xx
