So should a breastfeeding new born baby feed until he unlatches or strictly only for 30 mins every 2 hours? The breastfeeding consultant said until he unlatches but then his pediatrician saids something else..🤔🙄😑

always listen to the LC about your ped on subjects that pertain to breastfeeding. if your ped tells you baby isn't gaining enough weight and to supplement formula, you talk to your lactation consultant and listen to them above your ped. but only with breastfeeding. peds are not trained in breastfeeding like lactation consultants are
I was told to let them decide when they're done, offer your other breast when they unlatch from the first and they will decide when they're finished. :)
I've heard not to watch the clock but to watch the baby. Let them feed as long as they need to.
