I got the mirena at my 6 week appointment when I got my pap. you can get it taken out whenever but it lasts for 5 years. it didn't hurt for me but of course everyone's different.

I think I'll just get back on the pill for a little bit.

@mrs.medrano, no the Paraguard doesn't have hormones and can last up to 10 years. I'm staying away from hormonal bc since I've got a family history of blood clots. Lol I don't blame you girl. We can't do 3 daycare payments so that's a no for a while here, if ever 😲😂

Mirena has the hormones as paragard is copper.

If you get the iud wait a couple months after having your baby. I got mine in at 6 weeks post partum and with my first period it fell out and I didn't even notice it. I ended up pregnant again.

I just met a girl who got pregnant with it and the baby has it in his head lol idk why I'm laughing 😩

I'm planning on still trying to convince my husband to get a vasectomy lol I'm not good with pills at all and all other birth controls are horrible for me so since we have a boy and a girl and I do not want another baby ever I'm telling him to get fixed but he's scared it will lower his sex drive
