QUESTION
my daughters belly button never went in , when she was a baby her doctor said she might have to have surgery (it was big and couldn't really push it in or squeeze it) now its still out , but it's deflated and you can push it in (won't stay of course) but very soft. it doesn't bother her , she plays with it to make her self go to sleep , I was just wondering will they still do surgery or what was the outcome with a belly button like this???? ( she will be 2 in December)
@mdomke22, @l0tus @canaryv thank you ladies I really hope she doesn't have to have the surgery
They will only do surgery if it causes a hernia I believe. A little girl at the daycare I worked at had one but it stuck out and was kind of inflated so it looked like a little boys part so her doctor wanted to do the surgery to help it go back down. So long as it doesnt cause pain I think I your baby will be fine :)
she might just have an outie. i have an outie and it looks the same way but it's not harmful
I don't think they will have to. my daughter had the same thing and they haven't brought anything up about it. I think your in the clear. if it was still firm and out then maybe. but looks good to me!
You're welcome :) I hope she doesn't either !
