Is My Friend Lying About Her Pregnancy?

Had to be bullshit, a week after an abortion the hcg from the aborted pregnancy would still be in her system! It doesn't just disappear overnight it can take at least a month! Tell your friend that time will tell if she's lying or not but to not start buying baby grows and nappies just yet! When I was younger (I.e 16/17) I had a friend who constantly lied about pregnancy and miscarriages, now I don't wish it on anyone to lose a baby but she lost a daughter genuinely at 21 weeks gest and I think she realised how she hurt those around her that she lied to.. I hope this girl never has to abort or lose a baby.. The girl I know did it for sympathy, she wanted people to give her lots of attention.. I'd let her get on with it and not entertain it at all.. Some nasty gremlins in this world xx

@sandee, you took the words right out of my mouth! exactly that! I think she's clearly lying I've known a few girls to lie about this I wouldn't even entertain it it's bullshit 😂 when people are seeking attention but don't get it now that's funny! rise above 😊 xxx

@somnerwills123, maybe she is pregnant but with her ex's baby and she faked an abortion. But she can't lie about dates being that off someone's bound to notice she's further along.

@sara-lou, it is impossible the only way she could be pregnant is if her abortion failed which I doubt

@sara-lou, he said they slept together but it was just before she apparently had her abortion which means she must of been lying the first time if not the second haha

then she is not pregnant if she is saying she is 6 weeks her HCG levels would be in its thousands and would be picked up on any pregnancy test by now she is lying #fact @sommerwills123 tell your friend he needs to be leaving what she is doing is unfair and cruel

@canteloupe24, I'm guessing she's going to make out she's lost or got rid of it again as she was 100% keeping it yesterday but now might get rid of it before her booking appointment which seems odd!

@amy101, exactly this is why I'm so confused! She just goes to appointments without him then claims he can go to the next!

People that lie like that have an illness. It's an attention seeking mental issue & I've worked with a few girls hat have lied about being pregnant/miscarrying. One even lied about having cancer it's sickening. Maybe she lied about being pregnant the first time but now she actually is....? The only explanation I can think of for how she'd get pregnant because surely it's impossible that soon after having an 'abortion'.

I had a friend do the same when I was pregnant with my first made a load of lies about being pregnant and not long after I lost my baby...a few weeks later she made out she had lost hers too but then came clean and told everyone there wasn't a baby in the first place which made Me really mad...I accidently smacked her as if loosing a baby wasn't bad enough she had to make things like that up! x

I was asked which hospital I wanted to give birth in at my first ever appointment to confirm the pregnancy. They also never checked, just took my word for it. I had to wait about a month for a letter with my hospital appointment on it. I suppose it just depends on where you go and what doctor you have. Never even met my midwife till 25 weeks though. However you could easily find out all of that information online. Has she shown you a pic of a positive pregnancy test? You could google pregnancy tests and see if the same pic comes up. From what you've described it does seem a bit iffy... I don't know how anyone could lie about being pregnant, it's not exactly a secret you can keep for a long time. And I highly doubt you could get pregnant within a week of having an abortion never mind having sex. And if she's just had an abortion then why is she keeping this baby but not the other one? Something doesn't add up 🤔

Why would you have an abortion then get yourself pregnant again?. Tbh it sounds so far fetched and iffy. I would get your friend to demand her do a pregnancy test, any woman would want to prove that they are. If she's not pregnant, which I highly doubt she is, your friend needs to get his running shoes on and get away from her pronto!

Ok @sommerwills123 I didn't realise he was your mate that changes the game on your behalf by a pregnancy test and ask her to take it if she has nothing to hard she will do it and if she is lying he deserves better

The tests look real but it's not to say they're definately hers

@sandee, no, other than the fact I've been best friends with the guy for about 5 years and there's a lot on the line for him and he wants to know! Plus she's accused me and one other girl of lying about our pregnancies when we are nth well into the second trimester with evidence haha

@Ann ylouise, she lied about it the first time around to try and get her boyfriend back so I'm guessing that!

Sounds iffy but you'd hope she wouldn't be lying about it. But I've known people to have lied about being pregnant/ miscarrying before. It's quite sick actually.

unfortunately it's a common lie now a days now I fell pregnant quite quickly after and abortion but I don't see how you would be pregnant after a week your body needs time to heal bleeding needs to stop but the question is does her lie really affect you I know it is annoying feeling that someone close to you could be lying but I personally wouldn't show attention to it isn't that the whole point of telling a lie attention so don't give it to her tour soon know if it's a lie or not

Sounds a little strange, what would be her motive for lying about a pregnancy though? 😕
