Was told I had PCOS around 14 years old after my periods became irregular. Have been with my hubby since I was 15. Together (yes even as irresponsible kids) we never used protection to prevent pregnancy & I never got pregnant. My OB told me after a few years went by & I had more & more questions that it wasnt impossible, but I may just need help with meds. When I turned 21 put me on Metformin, said my weight wasnt much of an issue but that losing some could help. I lost 30lbs & took the Metformin faithfully, even though it made me so sick & I had to go poop all the time! About a year later, I had no period on my own. She let me try the allowed 3 cycles of Clomid & some other med combined to get a period, but I never ovulated on my own (taking ovulation predictor kits). She then reffered me to the fertility specialist. I was hesitant & after 6 months of debating, I made my appointment. In January of this year I started all the blood work, all the testing, found out I also have a blocked fallopian tube. She tried a stronger combo of meds Femara & Letrozole. I also had to get the trigger shot to release my eggs (as long as they were on the side with the open fallopian tube & they were). A few weeks later I was sure my period was coming because I cramped so bad. Sure enough March 9th, the day after I was suppose to test & I tested positive for my now 23 week baking baby boy & Im due November 14th! Everything so far so great! It has been an easy by the book pregnancy so far! I highly reccommend ladies to at least go see what they say, because I would have never known about having a blocked tube, & that played a huge role on top of my cysticy ovaries! PCOS sucks, but there are success stories! Ive been so obsessed since becoming pregnant.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16 and at 33 have finally had a child. When i set out to finally have a baby the best advice I got was to stay active( I exercised 3x a week), eat healthy(and stay away from dairy as much as possible), don't stress, and baby will eventually come. Good luck to anyone trying to conceive. I know it's hard but what's meant will be some day.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013. My husband & I tried to conceive for 3 years before we finally had success with a round of Clomid. My advice would be to eat as healthy as possible, to workout every day, & to lose as much weight as possible. These things & cutting out as much stress as possible are what helped me.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in early 2014 after my periods completely stopped. I started seeing a fertility specialist a few months later to start medication & to see what options my husband & I had for having a baby. Thankfully, he had no fertility issues of his own, so we decided to try IUI. After 4 failed cycles, I gave up. Probably the lowest point in my life. By the summer of 2015, I was crying pretty much every day. My husband decided it was time to talk to the fertility specialist about IVF & to start saving. We knew it would be close to a year before we could afford to make that leap, but at least we had a little hope. In November 2015, my period came 2 weeks late & I felt that little hopeless tug again. I decided to just give up till the New Year & talk to my doctor about getting back on progesterone. on December 25th, I took a pregnancy test & found out I was pregnant with our miracle baby. She's due in just a few weeks now! I honestly believe (& the doctors agree) that giving up is essentially what caused it haha. I stopped stressing & just focused on myself & my relationship. That whole process was hard on both of us & we really needed to just let go & be ourselves again. The doctor told me that the stress hormone is known to cause infertility, that's why you always hear all those impossible pieces of advice like, "stop worrying & it'll happen." Problem is, there's truth to it! My biggest piece of advice to all those struggling is to focus on the things that make you happy & know that when it happens, it'll be a million times more rewarding because of your struggle.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011 after TTC for a year with no success. At the time I was morbidly obese and we tried medical intervention with Clomid and Metformin - though I wasn't insulin resistant and all of my other blood work was normal. After a while the doctor said I needed to make some changes or see a fertility specialist. I started eating healthier (a weight watchers type program), began a Crossfit type program at the gym and over the next 18 months I lost 130 pounds. The following summer I found myself pregnant, though I had an early miscarriage. It's been almost a year since then, and I am now 10 weeks pregnant again. I'm still following my eating program, though my exercise has been scaled back since I've been pregnant.

I suffered from PCOS since I was 12 I have never really had regular periods on my own as I got older I would literally go years with out periods. I would get one here and there but never really stayed consistently. I would take birth control and the hormones would bring on one but once I stopped pills no period. I got to the point of wanting children and I went to several specialists and they all told me the same thing I needed to lose weight. I have always been over weight so I couldn't understand why that would make a difference because I knew women my size or bigger with children and that had periods regularly. I was in denial for years until about 2 years ago I was told because of the insulin resistance associated with PCOS that I was borderline diabetic and from that office visit forward I worked on my self and lost 126 pounds and started getting periods on my own and then November 11th 2015 I found out I was pregnant for the first time ever because I never ovulated due to no periods. It was so shocking I couldn't believe it. I have her now and still I'm in awe. But with the proper care of oneself and staying mindful that the good things we put into our bodies will yield good results. Exercise and a healthy diet is key.

I have PCOS and was told by several different doctors I would never get pregnant, unless I were to lose weight. And if i were to get pregnant, i would lose the baby. I was heart broken. But me and my husband met with a fertility doctor who specializes in PCOS and after some tests and lots of ultrasounds and meds I got pregnant with our beautiful baby girl. She'll be five months next week. Don't ever give up and trust that God is in control.

I have PCOS and I found out at the age of 12. At that age I didn't understand what it was but I knew it hurt me so bad. At 16 I had a major surgery to remove scar tissue from my uterus and remove 14 cyst total. The doctor told my parents if I didnt start working on my weight I would have problems forever and would probably have no children. Well that went on for years and in 2007 weighing in a 326 lbs I had weight loss surgery. After 3 years of not having a period it finally came on after I lost my first 80lbs and I have been regular ever since. In 2008 I married my high school sweetheart and a year later our journey began with pregnancy. In total I had 5 miscarriages 1 stillborn in 2010 and then my life stopped I was depressed angry and just gave up on life from all the pain. Well when we stopped trying pregnancy number 7 happened in April and on December 23 2011 I gave birth to a baby girl weighing in at 4lbs 13oz and completely healthy so she came home with us even though she was small. So I called both doctors who said i would never have kids and cried and laughed and now my baby picture hangs on their walls to let them know anything is possible with determination. Although I still have PCOS with 6 cyst I am 5 weeks from having our son Matthew Kyle!!! Yes thats right I'm pregnant again with pcos and my pregnancy is going great. Ladies keep the faith be positive and ask questions. My support comes from the heart and understanding cause I have been there and done that and still doing it. Unfortunately after I give birth I have to do whats best for me and my body and thats have a hysterectomy because the doctors fear my cyst could come back cancerous so to save my life so I can be here for my kids and my husband I have to do what I have to do. Just remember keep it positive stay healthy and when its time your body will adjust and you will have a healthy pregnancy never give up. Love you all. PCOS wont win we will!!!

Lifestyle change. Diet. Mindset. Really changing the way I see food has helped me the most with managing my PCOS and emotions. The best thing that has happened to me was finding out that this was what was wrong and understanding food in a new way (the way that my body needed it) www.pcosdietsupport.com in addition to my Drs help was the MOST helpful thing ever. Low glycemic load meal plans and tons of information (both hollistic suggestions as well as medical options to explore) I can now say that I'm pregnant 35 weeks and so excited to meet my baby. Becoming a mom was and is the driving force of dealing with these problems and I am so thankful. I am hoping anyone looking for answers to not be afraid- get to the Dr, learn about PCOS and how your body works, and learn to live in a new way. Learn to eat for your body, you will finally feel better. Learn how to care for you and keep your system from getting bogged down with the wrong hormones. Getting in control of you PCOS is so liberating, probably bc PCOS is so isolating and makes your feel so poorly in many aspects. Hugs to all, and check out that website I mentioned!!!

I was 23 when I found out... The doctors told me I wasn't gonna get pregnant without medical help... I struggle so much w this I was very depressed after..I refused to go on the pill... As an alternative to control my cycles... Birth control always made me so sick... Nausea, migraines, fainting spells, low sugar, cravings and u name it...So i did my own homework... Eating healthy I did a lot of herbal supplements and exercising 5 times a week I lost 20 pounds and still tried for 2 years w my husband.. One magical morning I got my positive.. She will be here in a week! ✨🎉🎁 My pregnancy wasn't easy.. I suffer w a lot w pregnancy issues but my daughter its healthy and I was able to have a full term pregnancy! What I realized that also helped me was changing my mind set... I lived in frustration and fear of NOT being able to be a mom! For 6 months I only did appreciation for a healthier body and my periods! My friends all made fun of me because I was the only woman that was happy to have my period!! And I prayed everyday! I know a lot of people don't believe in the spiritual side of healing but to me our mind, body and soul are ONE and they all need work.. In my case I needed healing in every aspect of my life! I became a happier, positive person! Someone once told me babies like a happy body... And once I was fully happy my baby came! 🍼🐣👼😍

I have PCOS and it took 3 years to conceive my first. We tried for 2 years on our own and nothing happened so I decided to seek Professional help and they recommend that I have a laparoscopy (ovarian drilling). So we decided to have the surgery and after that my periods were becoming normal so I was prescribed Clomid to help with the ovulation. After 4 cycles I was finally pregnant but had a miscarriage at 7 weeks 😞. We didn't give up and after my next period, I was pregnant angain and was put on progesterone and it worked and had a healthy baby boy. With this pregnancy, we were actually not trying but wanted to start trying so I scheduled an appointment so that we can get started on the Clomid but to my surprise.... I was already pregnant lol. The only thing I did different was eating healthy and I was getting B12 shots to help me loose weight. I lost 30lbs but was having trouble loosing more but it was because I waa pregnant lol.

i hadnt had a cycle since December of 2014 after i got married. i was told i had pcos in march of 2015 and my cycles were very irregular so they prescribed me vestura birth control. i thought regardless of being on the pill i became afraid that i would have a hard time getting pregnant whenever we decided to try for a baby. i took the pills as prescribed and when i ran out of refills i just wanted to get off of them because i felt like they werent helping my body and i had one more period after finished my last pack and my daughter was conceived a few days later. besides morning sickness I've had a fairly easy pregnancy, passed my glucose test, haven't gained but a few pounds throughout and now 37 weeks expecting my baby girl whenever she's ready to come.

I took metformin for a month, that with my already rigorous exercise routine I lost 24 lbs and got pregnant almost instantly and unexpectedly. I tried metformin 10 years ago when diagnosed and couldn't handle it stomach wise, I tried again and it worked great :) I had given up on exercise and diet alone because no matter how hard I worked nothing helped, I believe metformin was key to breaking down the food I ate that normally would store as far otherwise. I also recommend progesterone for the first 13 weeks because I got pregnant 2 years ago naturally and miscarried. They say some women with pcos lack enough progesterone which leads to miscarriage. Knowing that now I think it's a great help in getting mentally through the first trimester hurdle :)

I was just talking to my fiance about this. So after a miscarriage last summer I was diagnosed with pcos. I didn't handle it well so I started eating better. I wanted to desperately have a baby. After going to the doctor several times they gave me Spironolactone. I decided to take one to see how I felt, afterwards i forgot and never took them. Glad i didnt because it wouldve interfered with the baby's progesterone if I would have a boy. Me and my fiance decided to exercise, I just couldn't loose weight. Then 4 months later after loosing baby number one I missed a period. I was worried, because I was always on schedule so I decided to take a test. Well it turns out I was pregnant with my little baby boy that I'll be having within a week. I changed my eating habits while being pregnant and didn't indulge in my cravings. Passed my glucose test and nearly gained 5 pounds thru out this pregnancy.
