This has really upset/annoyed me. So many couples try desperately to have children and then you people who do things like this? Why not just tell staff you want to give the child up for adoption? Or just walk out and leave baby safely? Can't get my head around things like this!

No person would do this... No matter what situation they're in. As you say there are safer ways to leave a baby if they were desperate. Poor thing. At least they managed to save him/her
