my sister in law is very petite and she had a 9.7lb baby with no complications. I know that's not always the case but you got this!

I was induced at 39 weeks because my son was measuring so big and he was still 9.6 lb a week early. This baby is also measuring big and I'm being monitored closely for his size because I will likely be induced early with him to avoid c-section. I was stuck at 9 cm last time because my son was so big I started to swell and wouldn't dilate and was close to an emergency c-section but luckily I avoided it just barely!

@angelmama12, that's what I'm scared of! Hopefully my dr sets a date so I don't have to have a c-section. My sister went through so much pain with hers, I don't think I could handle it!

my doctor keeps scaring me too. he keeps saying "dont gain too much weight or you'll have a big baby. we dont want that" i asked him why and he said because of my height. im petite too and they said that i may not be able to push out an 8+lb baby! i want a vaginal birth!! i dont want a c-section!

If your doctor is concerned about whether a vaginal delivery may be difficult they will probably induce you a week early so that you can still have one, or at least try to! Try not to worry too much though, ultimately all that matters is that baby will be safe and healthy. ☺️
