Okay ladies be brutally honest with me here. If my son isn't breech and there are no other medical reasons why I can't, I get to have my VBAC in October. however I want to go completely natural no meds. the only thing is, this pregnancy has been very rough on me since its been less than a year in between pregnancies and I'm apparently not as tough so to speak as I thought. my pain tolerance is lower. also I know for a fact I will tear and it will be bad. I would rather tear and heal naturally though than have an episiotomy. so for those of you, medicated or non medicated births, that tore, how bad was it? If you went natural, were you able to go completely through the birthing process with no medications?

I went natural and tore with my vbac. It was actually my easiest labor and delivery of my 3 kids. The tear sucked only because he was coming so fast that the doc didn't have time to guide his head down and i tore right near my urethra so it burned to pee for a couple of days. However, I'll take that over any of my other labors

It feels like if someone is trying to stretch your skin when you tear it sucks but it goes away completely once baby is out

I tore with my 3 previous pregnancies. the first was in 5 spots all minor I had a medicated delivery, second tore in 2 spot very minor also medicated delivery. with my third I had iv meds to take the edge off tore in 1 spot super minor (her shoulder was turned weird coming out) I'm also scared I'll tear this time around. I want to go the same route as my last delivery but like you my pain tolerance is lower this time around my third born is 16 months I'm due in 5 weeks.

I know for a fact I will tear because all I have to do is sit down or stand up the wrong way and I tear already. It sucks so I'm prepared for that and I expect it to be much much worse. @arivera64 how long about would you say it took to heal and to what degree did you tear? I will have an 11 month old when I have my son so I won't be able to take things easy exactly. @themommaoffour I would love to go unmediated completely and I know I can I just most certainly can't do IVs. the nurses at my hospital always and I mean every single time blow my veins and blood goes everywhere. for some reason after getting pregnant with my daughter I can't see my own blood or I pass out.

Not sure to what degree but i needed a cath for 24hrs after. I got a few stitches and it took me just about a week to feel OK down there.

I'm terrified of having like a 3rd or 4th degree tear. @arivera64 that's not so bad I guess. I mean I'll have my husband's help for 2 weeks ish but I tear down there almost daily and I really don't want it to happen during birth but I know it's inevitable unfortunately. I'm not even sure massage would help in my case
