yea I figure Maybe when I'm inside and it's cooler like the hospital and home I can use it but it will prob be to hot outside for one.

Never used a hat for my son. He was born July 2 last year. I only used the hat in the hospital then stopped

@talbottgirl, thanks. I have one in my diaper bag for the hospital and I have a few here at home. it's gonna be in the 90s the next 2 weeks so I wasn't sure.

My nurses told me to keep one around. I have two different hats for my son in his diaper bag just in case. One is the hospital hat and the other is like a sun hat. They lose their body temp faster than you so its best to keep one just in case. Just make sure to take it off if you notice that the baby is sweating.
