I'm not shy abut breastfeeding around family. MIL included. That does not mean she has to stand six inches away from me and have a stare down with my boob while I get Joshua latched. Really. I got this. I don't need supervision.
It's weird. And it makes me uncomfortable.

@marzuniversal, idk what's worse. That or every time I nursed around my mil she would walk by and cover me up, even if I wasn't showing anything. 🤔

@beauandleosmom, it's like she stands there and waits for me to get him latched before she hands me something. And she pets him while I'm nursing. I think she would cover me if there were other people around but it's usually just me and my husband and her.

And I would just take the cover off. It's been way too hot for one anyway.

@marzuniversal, did she nurse her babies? Maybe she nostalgic? My ex mil didn't nurse and it made her uncomfortable so she would cover me up even if it was just me and her. That's a little creepy though... I can see me doing this when I have grandkids lol I love breastfeeding! 😍

@beauandleosmom, yeah she nursed two of her three. Plus she's from Mexico. I don't mind people stroking his head while I nurse. It just gets weird when she starts stroking his cheek because she tends to touch my boob in the process.

lol, some ppl just have smaller personal space bubbles than others. It sounds like she means well though

@beauandleosmom, she does mean well. It's just that sometimes it's a PTSD trigger cause I tend to close my eyes when I nurse and I don't hear her come up.
