any advice? when I went for my 20 weeks scan, it showed that bubs was measuring at 20w+2d when he was only meant to be 19w+3d. was told it may be that he is having a early growth spurt or that his due date is slightly wrong and to wait for 24 week appointment with midwife to see what she thinks. everyone I've mentioned this to like my mum and a couple of friends whove had babies are acting like that means he's going to be a big baby and there's something wrong with my baby. as a first time mum this is freaking me out. has anyone else had this happen to them? and what was your outcome? :-S

They most probably got your dates wrong and what's wrong with having a big baby nothing..... they will just induce u earlyer than later

My due date changed at least 3times during scans. A lot of it is guess work in the early days I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

my first daughter was big hun all the way through. she was fine.. dont worry hun... doesnt mean there is something wrong xx

Babies grow at different rates. I had a growth scan and my little man was low on the scale, went back 4 weeks later and he was above on the scale. Xx

it's just getting to me that people are thinking there's something wrong with him and everything. There's nothing wrong with how big he will be as long as he's healthy I don't care but the constant comments from people are really starting to get to me which doesn't help that I'm so emotional at everything atm. Im hoping they've got my dates wrong and he's due earlier get to meet him quicker. xx

I'm measuring bigger aswell Hun along with having 2 due dates 10 days a rap from each other, there is nothing wrong with you baby it could be the way they are lying or that he is abit bigger, nothing to worry about at all xx

When I had a scan at 35+6 my daughter was measuring over 39 weeks hun :) xx

My baby was measuring 10 days bigger at the 20 week scan, then nearly 4 weeks bigger at my 30 week appointment with the midwife. Have to wait a few weeks and get measured again then go from there. But babies grow at different rates. I was a big baby (9lbs 12) and I was perfectly healthy! I've actually heard that bigger babies have less health issues when they're older too.
