okay so my 16 month old just witnessed yet another bad fight between me and my husband. He took my arms, twisted them and shoved me into the couch. Mind you I'm 27 weeks pregnant. I work for a school system so currently have the summer off where the plan was to stay home with my son so we didn't have to pay for daycare and my husband works. We have been trying to fix things and work on things for some time now and it just seems to get worse. He tells me if I leave or file he will proof I'm an unfit mother and take my kids. I have been having Braxton Hicks for about 3 days now. he told me it was my fault and if I went into labor with my daughter and she didn't make it, it would be all because of me. I never wanted to get married to turn around and get a divorce. I didn't want my child to go through what both my husband and I went through as a kid and not have parents. Since he is the one working right now I'm completely stuck. I just don't know what else to do. I'm not trying to hurt either of my kids. we just moved and I moved away from all my family and friends.

No. He has to pay for both your lawyer and his. Take the kids and move back to your family. I know it hard but you need a better environment for the kids

@babes101116, how do I get it to where he has to pay for both our lawyers? I wish leaving were that easy. we are over an hour from any of my family and I have less than 1/4 tank of gas and no money to get any. since he is the only one working, he won't let me have any money, there is literally $0.34 in the bank. and he is telling me he won't pay our eletric that is due and he is going to shut my phone off so i don't have a phone and nobody can get a hold of me. electric is in my name. our van is in both our names and he says if I leave I can figure out how to pay for that myself even though I don't technically go back to work until the end of July

I left my abuse husband. You CAN do it. Don't let his threats scare you. While he was at work I went to the court house and filed papers giving me full temporary custody of my daughter, I was able to do it because of the abuse. While that order was in effect I moved back in with my parents. When I had to go back to court because the papers expired I had him served divorce papers. The judge allowed my daughter to stay with me until the divide was final. At that point he got some visitation rights and child support was enforced. Hardest thing I ever did, but I can't imagine my life (and daughters) had I stayed. Good luck to you.

Call 211 and tell them about the domestic violence you are experiencing. The can find resources to get you and your baby back home to your family. DO NOT STAY IN THAT TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT! It's not healthy and it only gets worst. I have been in your shoes and I am so much happier now. The courts will not give your babies to him just because you don't have a job right now hun. Build your life and be happy without him. I'm so glad I did

Yeah he can't take your kids.
