This is what I'm afraid of... my partner and I got pregnant after being together for only about 5 months or so. Luckily we naturally move fast and were already really stable in our relationship and were very committed and were already planning to move in together. After pregnancy we don't have much of a plan for contraception. I 100% cannot get birth control for personal reasons. Condoms don't seem to work for us. We tried and he just didn't feel anything and for me it felt really odd and wasn't very attractive. We're going to try female condoms soon, crossing my fingers they work for us. And spermicide is a thought. He really doesn't like pulling out and hasn't had a lot of practice with it (I took his virginity) and he's normally very smart but of course he loses his mind to his primal instincts in the bedroom, so he's not likely to make the right decision and pull out 100% of the time. We can just barely afford this baby and I don't want another yet. I cant bare the thought of being pregnant again right after this, and I'm pro-life so I can't afford to mess up.
@shellbell0391 I'm aware. I went for my first checkup at maybe 4 months and they had to do an exam legally in order to do a sonogram. I had a panic attack and then went home.
Oh nvm you're pretty far along you've obviously been to the doctor lol
Not sure if you've been to the doctor yet but when I went they did a pap smear and stuck some swabs up me to test for ghonorrea and chlamydia which I think is pretty standard. They check ya for everything. Just so you are prepared.....
How do you plan to get your cervix checked ? Once you hit 36 weeks plus
I think doctors look at your vag when you're pregnant more times than just when you're giving birth... Plus it's sooo important to have regular cervical cancer screenings. But anyway. I hate birth control cause it turns me into a bitch but im gonna have to take it lol
Try the Trojan bareskin. My boyfriend hates condoms and those are the only ones he will wear.
Well if you don't want actual birth control, your options to prevent are very limited as you know. Maybe if you haven't already, try different types of condoms. Thin ones, sheep skin or something....?
@jlf240 Yes, and that's the only time it will happen. Even while giving birth though I'll be covered up with a cloth as much as possible.
@arivera64 I'll be breast feeding exclusively for about the first 6 months, so that should work. I still want to be 100% sure I don't get pregnant though, so I need something else along with that. And of course when I'm done breast feeding I still need a plan.
@gallyzephie8715, giving birth is going to require a doc looking at your vag....?...
If you exclusively breastfeed that can help supress ovulation. Use that in combination with tracking your fertility signs like cervical fluid and cervical position etc, ovulation tests, bbt. You can also get a sponge to use with spermicide.
There's a lot of other options. There's iud implants (hormonal and non hormonal) and the monthly shot you can take instead of the pill.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Am I wrong for telling my Bd that because we not Married my baby don't have to have his last name? He really got mad and told me I was project n ignorant. Crazy part is I was thinking about giving my baby his middle and last name
Need ideas!
We had our baby on Tuesday, unfortunately he was born sleeping. I really really cannot express in words how amazing my nurses were. They were so very kind, understanding, gentle with their words, and forthcoming about what to expect. I couldn't have done it without them.
Mamas I just don't know what to do. I think my boyfriend may be cheating but I'm not too sure. Well first of he is an excellent dad and loves all of his children. He loves our son to death. But today in his vest pocket I found 2 condoms. He and I have never ever used condoms in all the time we have been together which brings me to think he's cheating. I caught him In a lie about 2 years ago when I seen he was cheating. I don't know if I want to keep putting up with the unfaithfulness. Not to men...
not pregnancy related just need some input on this topic...I have the mirena but I know it's still not 100% preventing pregnancy and I really don't want to get pregnant again I told my boyfriend I want to use condoms but he makes excuses saying he don't have time to buy them. he hates condoms since we stopped using them 3 years ago he says he doesn't feel pleasure she he wears them because the feeling is completely different from when he doesn't use one. he said it's hard to go back to using th...
@mrsschmalz That sounds awesome! I'll definitely have to try that. Are there any specific ones you recommend? We'll probably be looking at Walmart or Wegman's.
