My son is 2 days old and I started pumping some milk and I am producing about 2.5-3ounces a feeding, but it seems like he wants to eat every hour? He didn't seem this hungry on the breast but when it's in a bottle he wolfs it down. Is this normal? Advice..?

If you're pumping it out he's getting it. He can suckle more out than your pump can. It may seem he's not satisfied but it's totally normal for him to nurse like that right now. After about 2 months he won't eat as often until he's in a growth spurt.

Okay... Just wondering why he's getting so hungry all the time... I don't think he's satisfied with the boob, and I like to be able to see how much he's eating, or if he's getting anything at all @santistevanmommie @arivera64

Also he could be trying to cluster feed. He's only 2 days old so he's still trying to get your milk supply up. Also he's gonna hit a growth spurt soon

Because he knows he doesn't have to work as hard lol. That's why ppl always recommend waiting a few weeks before introduction of the bottle because some babies get lazy. Also, babies go thru cluster feeding when they have growth spurts which is very frequent in the first few months

Milk is easier to drink from a bottle than the breast so it's usually a much quicker feeding.
