do you have to have your baby at Tue hospital. your doctor delivers at or can you go any where ?

If you want your doctor to deliver you, then you go to the hospitals he can deliver at...

I do want him to but I don't want the baby's dad there or his ex wife and switch she works at the hospital he delivers at @jadasmommy_

I had a very strict list of who was allowed to visit and be present. I also asked they do not tell people I am there should they call. Just make sure the people that are on your list will respect your wishes and keep your whereabouts secret.

U don't have to have anyone u don't want that includes the ex state it up front when ur checked in

If he only delivers at one hospital then you can have your baby there without either of them being allowed anywhere near you. When you go in you can give the nurses a list of people you allow to visit you, or you can be private listed so that if he asks what room you are in the nurses will tell them you are not a patient. Either way if you don't want them there they won't be allowed.

Yeah my sister did that and they let people back .. at the same hospital that's why I'm worried . and I just don't even want her dad to know she's born @showersoverflowers

Well then I guess your only other option is to deliver elsewhere... technically, they can get into a lot of trouble for sharing patient information so if they were to do it, a formal complaint would definitely pour in some hot water but you are going to have to deliver where you feel safe.

also, if she accesses your chart without consent, it's grounds for immediate termination and suspension of any medical license she may have

I called the hospital and asked the said that no one is aloud to come in even if the work there she's just the cleaning lady but my friend just had her son and only met his ex once and she walked into her room and said hi that's why I'm freaking out more @showersoverflowers

My advice is to consult your doctor and the birth center staff BEFORE you go into labor. maybe sure you have a birth plan printed for your file. In a big red marker or font fill a paper with the words "LIST AS PRIVATE! NO UNAUTHORIZED VISITORS!" This will go into your file and should been seen upon admittance. Make sure you also carry a copy of the same thing in your hospital bag. hand it to the person checking you in and reiterate it to the nurses assigned to you. If they mess up and let someone in, that's on them and file a complaint

She has no way to access chart information if she is just a cleaning lady. if she finds out you are there, it is because someone from the outside told her. If she is accessing charts, she will be fired immediately. if she is talking about ANY patient in the hospital or even who she saw while she was at work, it is a HIPPAA violation and is grounds for serious consequences and termination. Maybe call the hospital and talk with the privacy control office and explain your concerns. she will be flagged then
