Here is my birth story just in case for any new mommies like myself need some sort of insight.
Starting from 34 weeks from pregnancy i was still working part time at Starbucks and there is a lot of movement and heavy flow of work í started feeling what í thought was braxon hicks, being really consistent i went to L&D and they told me í was 3cm dialated 75% effaced and that my baby was trying to come early so í had to get steroids just in case for his lungs but i was sent home the next day. After that this entire time í felt contractions all the time and nothing í could do about it, up until my 36 week check up my OB asked if í wanted my membranes sweeped and í did no pain just worser contractions. Week 37 lost my entire mucus plug. Week 38 contractions were more consistent and painful i couldn't take it anymore. I was measured at 4cm and admitted on june 20th 9pm. By 3am they broke my water and put on pitocin. Soon after that I got the epidural scariest moment ever i cried but once the needle was in it wasn't bad at all í felt dumb but relieved from pain. I got it just in time before it got worse and at 6am i was 9cm, started pushing at 8:30am my son could've been delievered in an hour but he was stuck until last min I was told to cough and was out 5 mins after that born at 10:05 am. Easiest labor from my part but i felt hot, sleepy, and out of breathe. Teared in two places with stiches from a 8lb 6oz baby. Greatest moment ever because we were all laughing during the entire time so it was relaxing but you can't feel exactly feel where you are pushing so that's the challenging part for me. Other than that relax and enjoy the one moment from bring home the tiny person that's been inside you for the longest time ever.
