I finally caved and called my ob after hours number and the on call ob sounded so annoyed with me. He didn't even let me get any symptoms out before he told me to "just come in so you don't have the baby" and then basically hung up. I'm at my moms house and I don't want to wake her to drive me 45 minutes for them to just tell me these are normal symptoms and send me home. I'm so upset right now!
I would drink something like juice if you can sugar will help movements of baby but I've heard that cold will help also if you were to eat something on top of the cold water that might help. Have you noticed any decrease in baby movements since you've been struggling with this pain? @1sttimemommie
Notice how much movement baby is giving you and start your kick counts 6 to 10 movements in an hour if that is any lower I would go straight in. @1sttimemommie our gut instincts are very real but then they get questioned by our worry thoughts try to Bring yourself back to the moment this moment worry thoughts come from being outside of the moment for the most part.
I would say after you drink something cold lay on your left side you should notice a decrease in symptoms other then you should notice an increase in baby movement. @1sttimemommie
@heavenwings, should I be looking for an increase in my stomach after I drink something cold? And my gut tells me I'll be ok until tomorrow but then I think what if something happens to my baby and I didn't do anything. :(
up tell 35 weeks hun cramps could be contractions hun or it u r like me with my 1st that's all I ever felt but try drinking water laying on ur left side & if it's not better in 30 minutes go in
the cramps are exactly what early labor felt like to me. call l&d instead of your ob, they will listen and tell you if you should come in or wait.
I had NO pain but I was having contractions I mean whatever you feel comfortable doing just hope everything is ok to
I agree you shouldn't be having pains for that long if I read your post correctly you are about 45 minutes from the hospital you can always try to drink orange juice or something cold eat something and lay on your left side!! Do this for and see if your stomach increases decreases see if you notice baby kicks and movements and count those movements. I would also ask myself how you feel what does your gut tell you that intuition follow that intuition even if things are OK it's better to go and get checked. @1sttimemommie
I'm not in pain though that's the thing, it's just crampyness and a rock hard belly. If I had my car with me I would have went already but I'm at my moms for the night and don't want to wake her at 2 am have her drive 45 minutes for them to tell me I'm fine @mimiz @lil_bigmama
I don't like your doc you are possibly having contractions go to L&D just to be safe
That's the thing I can't really time the tightness of my stomach because it's just all the time when I'm sitting or standing. The only time it eases up is when I lay down. @heavenwings
I am not a doctor but it sounds like contractions have you been timing them have you had more than six in one hour? Do they ever ease up when you're laying on your left side or walking around? @1sttimemommie
I've been having period like cramps since I woke up from my nap at 3 pm and also a rock hard stomach since the same time whenever I sit up or am standing. I've also had lightning crotch like two times tonight. I finally went to sleep and woke up at 1 am with nausea. It's not currently 1:38 am and I still feel crampy and stomach is still rock hard as I'm sitting up typing this. @heavenwings
call labor and delivery. they will tell you if you need to come in or not.
A little bit but I still feel him move around. I just felt him move a little bit and all I had was a glass of ice water. :) @heavenwings
