my midwife suggested Castro oil, after lots of research and careful consideration, I tried it yesterday morning, and a 2nd dose last night before bed and... nothing lol no diarrhea or nausea or vomiting... had an hour or 2 of contractions that may or may not have been related to me taking the stuff and thats it. I am thoroughly convinced my baby girl is gonna be in there forever lol an I don't need a lecture for trying it, I took several precautions to make sure I wouldn't end up with one of those bad stories. :-P no good, no bad, still no baby lol so now I wait and see if she will make her appearance on her own. I give up trying. if she doesn't come on her own then we have a RCS on the 8th. baby girl has about a week. I'm just gonna rest... God's in control...
@michelle2220, a lot of those cases involved dehydration too.
I'm not going to do any more than the 2doses I tried yesterday that had zero effect. baby girl is still super wiggly like normal and hr is steady as always :)
Not lecturing, just gonna tell you that there is research suggesting that it can cross into the placenta, causing baby to have a bowel movement too, which they could inhale in the womb. Just monitor baby's movement closely and stay hydrated. Hope everything is ok!
@ftmommieoftwiinz, I took all precautions. did a lot of research on it and most of those cases are people past their due date, inducing WAY too early (ama) or took way too big a dose.
I tried it and it didn't work to induce labor. I don't plan on trying again with it.
be careful I've known people to lose their babies bc of them pooping in the womb and swallowing it . I hope your baby will be okay
ok cool I just get worried when I see mommy's post about it.
