If you plan on having a shower I'd wait to get diapers till after the shower. A lot of people give diapers as gifts for a shower. My first shower I received like 7-8 huge boxes of diapers

I made a post about how much I hate pampers 😂😂 my daughter leaked through them every single time.

@amaperalta03, We live 3,000 miles away from our families and only know a handful of people in our new city, so we aren't expecting a large shower unfortunately. We will probably get a few gifts but will have to get most things on our own most likely.

Diapers are a little tough to stock up on, until you are sure your baby isn't sensitive or allergic to one brand or another. I could only use pampers with my boys, so that's what I bought for my daughter. I hope they work out for her. I would get a small thing of newborn, a few boxes of size 1 and quite a bit of size 2.

Pampers are great! That's the only diapers we use with both of our kids. I didn't get a lot of diapers at my baby shower (but that's because I wasn't even at mine because my mom hostested one in GA and I have no friends) I wish we would have stocked up though. We use the dry ones as well.

@boymomplusagirl, My husband and I both don't/ didn't have sensitive skin so we are hoping baby won't, but anything is possible! Did your boys have sensitive skin?

@eccmommy1315, That's good to hear! I don't think we will be getting a lot of diapers from people as we live very far from our family and friends (just moved across the U.S. 1 year ago), so we will definitely need to stock up a little. ☺️

@moonie Both of my boys had sensitive skin as babies, however with time they have grown out of most of it. My youngest has very fair skin and he has some allergies still, but for the most part things are better now.

pampers are great I like Huggies too .. stock up on as much as you can. if your baby doesn't use all of the sizes you can always exchange them .

@boymomplusagirl, I'm glad they're doing better! I think we will try to stick to the sensitive skin brands just in case.

@taylam, I didn't know they could be exchanged! Even if it's months after we bought them?? Do we just keep the receipts?

@moonie I heard that the Honest diapers are good for babies with sensitive skin too. I have been thinking about trying them as well with my daughter.

Yess I love pampers! I also heart that " the honest company pampers were amazing.

@boymomplusagirl, I think Honest diapers offers a sample pack if you pay shipping. I'm not sure how many it comes with though or if it would be worth it to just buy a pack from Target (I believe I saw them being sold there)

@moonie I am going to order a sample pack from honest Co. after my daughter is born. I am going to try the pampers first to see how she does with them, and go from there.

Pampers is ok brand with my daughter I used to use luvs they not that expensive and their work pretty good for me but just my advice I wouldn't by many diapers to stock cuz some times some different brands can irritated your baby and u don't want to keep a lot of diapers of a brand that can maybe irritate your child @

you don't even need to keep the receipts you can just go in and ask for them to be exchanged for a different size that's all .. I got pampers and Huggies and my son's skin is perfectly fine with them .
