Costco?
Is the membership worth it? We have 3 babies in our house, sometimes 4 and we would mainly use it for wipes, diapers, and toilet paper. Would you recommend it? If so which membership..
In my experience, sams has a larger selection of diapers and wipes. I like our sams membership and I definitely think it's worth it. We buy 6 pounds of ground beef for usually $16 or $3/ lb. It just depends. We have the better membership and can get in an hour earlier than everyone else. I found super cute workout leggings for $14 the other day and a swim suit for my mom (she can never find them and feel confident in them) and an outfit for dd for $6. They have amazing produce, meat and bakery foods for good prices too.
We love Costco! We buy beef, chicken, almond milk, diapers, wipes, baggies, toilet paper, paper towels, pop water, juice boxes, coconut oil, and they have really good chocolate chip cookies and Chicago mix popcorn there too. They have really cute clothes too. We spend about $300 a month.
I love Costco. And in the end it's a better save than SAMs. The packages are slightly bigger and cost more, but cost less per unit.
I get wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, kids snack crackers, protein bars, vinegar, jelly, cheese, meat, milk, eggs, trash bags, and their clothes are cute and cheap, they're electronics are more reasonably priced,
The list goes on and on.
We have Costco and go all the time. Ours only has Huggies diapers, so we use Amazon subscribe and save for Pampers. We get meat in bulk and freeze it. Also, the fruit and veggies are cheaper there for us, so even if we don't use it all before it goes bad, it's still cheaper than the regular grocery store. You can always get a day pass to check it out and see if they have what you're looking for.
We love Costco. The membership pays for itself. We get beef, diapers, wipes, trash bags, snacks, creamer, almond milk and cereals. We've been supplementing with formula and there brand is half the price of name brand stuff, it's the same as enfamil (it's not in our stores though we have to order it online). A lot of the time they've got really good gas prices and we've gotten good deals on tires as well.
My parents have one for Sam's the more expensive plan that you earn rewards for. But seven people live in their house so someone is there on a weekly basis for them it's most definitely worth it. I tag along when I have extra grocery money or need toiletries. The packs of toilet paper last us five or six months and diapers, wipes and pull ups are definitely worth it there too.
I've done both. Some things are slightly higher priced in each. I like Costco's store brand a little better than Sam's. I also like Costco better in general. But back to OP's question, if you are using it for those consumable items with a house full of babies, I'd bet the $100ish membership will be worth it. You get extra discounts or money back or something that make the higher membership worthwhile. Sorry, it has been several years since I did Costco, so I can't remember well. They just built one here, so I will renew with them when my Sam's membership expires.
I have 5 kids and buying in bulk helps so much!! Especially after you go a few times, it really helps build up a stockpile. Costco is ok but I think BJ's has more food options. Costco is good for having more variety of other non-food items. They also have some name brand clothes at Costco (Carters, Adidas, etc).
I was told things are more expensive at Sams, is that true or are things about the same price?

I have both SAMs and Costco. SAMs is closer to us, so I go more often, but I like Costco more. Their generic brand is also better than SAMs.
