Is pregnancy different for plus size women? I will most likely have GD when I do conceive due to insulin resistance as a symptom of PCOS. What else do I have to look forward to being plus size?

I'm plus size and my pregnancy was "normal" I didn't have anything different from a "fit pregnancy" the only thing I had was severe morning sickness and lost a ton of weight and my Dr encouraged me to try to gain it back

I'm plus size...what was different for me is I didn't show as soon as others...really started to notice at 28 weeks. I'm already diabetic so that was already an issue so I had to watch everything I ate from the beginning. my Dr wasn't that concerned with me gaining weight as I wrote down everything I ate and they told me some women just gain wieght. um...sometimes it was difficult to see baby on ultrasound so they really press on your stomach...it really hurt sometimes. they watched my health a bit more but again I am diabetic so that was a given lol. this is just my experience and everyone women and pregnancy will be different.

^ Yup. I mean, I started out being a bigger lady and I just try to be as healthy as possible. The doctors will stress eating healthy and drinking lots and lots of water (as they do with any pregnant woman). Just expect them to always tell you not to gain a lot of weight.
