I did it, just tell your dr you want delayed cord clamping, for as long as they'll let you

Yep. I made sure it was something they would do for me and he said he does it with all births unless something is wrong. I believe they waited about 10 minutes before cutting it.

I did it. It was a part of my plan but my doctor also automatically chooses to do it. They just put him on my chest right after he came out and let the cord/placenta do its thing before cutting it.

After reading "with know intervention" I decided the person writing probably doesn't have a degree to make me believe even have of that.. I'm sure there are benefits, but I'm sure that post is a load of bs.
Kk thanks ladies ima try it...so do I just tell my doc I want delayed clamping@hladybug

It's called delayed clamping, it is good for your baby because they get the extra blood from the placenta and it can keep them from being anemic or having jaundice but it doesn't do much beyond that. A lot of other people swear there's other benefits but not much has been scientifically proven. We're going to do it with my baby just because I know the extra blood/oxygen is beneficial.

I don't believe in that I mean ok it will be beneficial but free of everything.... No

Not proven. Delayed clamping has benefits, but the majority of what he said has no factual basis.
