What are your thoughts of NOT having alcohol at the baby's first birthday party? My daughter is only turning 3 months tomorrow but with our families definitely have to pre plan ahead of time and I'm thinking of not having alcohol at a kids birthday party. It is for the baby not for adults and alcohol does seem to be a problem with his family where they drink a lot and I don't want any stress at that party when the time comes.

Nope it is very inappropriate to have alcohol at a CHILDS birthday party! I hate going to childrens parties with booze too- it makes me uncomfortable.
My family is like that.. They like to drink and ALWAYS have alcohol at their kids parties. I don't have it at my kids' bdays. I don't see the purpose in it.

We haven't had alcohol at our daughters bdays at all. I personally feel it's not appropriate
I had a friend who allowed alcohol at her daughters birthday (it was her 2nd birthday) because people brought it without even asking and it pretty much turned into an adult party which I definitely had a problem with. Everyone stayed late and it took the attentiom off the child. Very inappropriate.
