I personally think it should be a mutual decision. Both mom and dad should be involved with the naming of the baby. Unless the father isn't a part of the pregnancy/child's life. I know my SO told me to pick our daughters name and I told him we both have to agree because he's calling her this name for life so he needs to have input.

it's not about who has more power. it's both of your decision. both of you keep coming up with names and if you both like it and want it as the baby's name then that's it but it not about which one of you gets that choice entirely.

I named my son since his father doesn't want to sign his birth certificate because he thinks they will come get him for a stupid traffic warrant... so now I'll be taking my happy ass down to child support and he'll have a warrant out for his DNA... stupid af...

we equally came up with a name, I combined ideas and we were satisfied, but then I thought of others and he was like Yes! that one... he was excited so I knew it was the one... no one wants to call their child by a name they hate.. compromise no more power over the other

Both IF the father is 100% in it. if the father is there during your pregnancy and acts like a good father from the get go then I think it's equal.

Both because it takes two to make the baby. And both are important.

why would either have more "power" than the other? yea we carry them for 9 months & have the hardest job, but without dad you wouldnt have baby.. its suppose to be a happy decision between u both..
