Anyone else's newborns seem to confuse hunger and gas? Been trying everything to ease the pain for Lucas, but he won't quit trying to nurse instead. Every time he does, his gas gets that much worse, but instead of waiting, he's screaming to nurse again. 😵 Lord help us through this night.

Have you tried gripe water? my son has been dealing with that lately. It seemed to work for him since he does the exact same thing.

try burping half way through a feeding and a tummy massage and pressing legs to the tummy and you can fart them.

@jaydemiliani250, yep I have. It seems to take a really long time to work for him though, like over an hour later and it's still not much relief. 😕

@mhaley1223, I do all that already. Bicycle legs, bouncing, burping... it doesn't help that he gulps when feeding, but not much I can do to change that. Thanks though.

@mhaley1223, I've done gripe water. Don't have any mylicon drops and wasn't sure if they were ok for 1 wk old anyway. He's sleeping now, so I'm out too!

I've read that they just try to comfort themselves so they will keep nursing

@bianca_rose, @nicemmcha2015 it could be? He feeds about as long as normal and ends up gulping air as usual. Oy. Well he slept for about 4 hr so I'll take it. Thanks ladies!
