@showersoverflowers @lilanne1927 i tried.. but she starts freaking out.. since she was little.. she's three now and legit freaks out when her hands or feet are dirty
@amaperalta03 i think she's mildly ocd.. bc i am.. so let's see where that goes..
My oldest didn't like mud either tell I sat down and started making 'mud pies' and he slowly came around.
oh yeah, my son absolutely hates being messy but that's why I encourage it. I just show him it can be fun to get clean after too.
@lilanne1927 i think ita so cute watching little kids play in mud.. but mine doesn't like it :/
That's normal for kids to be like that some kids develop small ocds but eventually grow out of them that's how my nephew is
Yep I started my oldest out in a mud hole and rain at 6 months and I'll be doing the same with my youngest. I only let my oldest in the rain during warm weather and there's no present thunder or lightening. Just the other day he picked up a worm and bout ate it.
@showersoverflowers @b3autifulm3ss @amaperalta03 i always thought I'd be the momma with their child all in dirt making a mess of themselves.. but my daughter HATES being dirty.. she stops whatever she's doing if her hands gets messy to go clean them..

not directly like i dont take my 15 month old to the park and say go play in that dirt... but if there is places with dirt that we are playing like under the tree with leaves and hea having a good time i dont take him away from it simply because there happens to be dirt on the ground
I did! it's important for them to understand their environment. of course monitor closely
so does mine. I started to do messy sensory crafts at one when I noticed it and slowly have been able to get messier over time. Maybe try that out?? maybe start with died nibbles or noodles and slowly work your way up to painting with pudding. if it's edible it encourages them a little more. I always let him clean up after. I just get a pail of soapy water and let him have at it....this is often messier than just doing it yourself, but it shows them it's okay to make a mess as long as you clean it up and have fun. I have also noticed letting him help me cook seems to have helped him with different textures as well.
