I was breastfeeding my baby this morning from my left breast (which is one we were having trouble her latching on to) anyway she was latched on for a good 20 mins but then started to hurt me from sucking. According to the lactation specialist 'if you're doing it right, it shouldn't hurt'. Which is true, I think. So I don't know if she was latched on wrong or do my breasts just have to adjust to breastfeeding? Anyone relate?

** I tried feeding her again and it just hurt a lot. My nipples and breasts are so sore. 😓 She's not even 5 days old. What should I do?

My mine hurt as well when I first started breastfeeding my daughter. It took like a month for my nipples to adjust. Sometimes they hurt now and she is 3 months old. I she is latching correctly. After you nurse use the nipple lanolin.

my son had perfect latch both breasts but it hurt all the time. I think when he was a week in a half - 2 weeks it stopped hurting as my nipples were used to it. for the first bit use lanolin nipple cream its a relief. put it on before and after every feeding or anytime there hurting. hope it gets better for you soon my son is now 2 months and breastfeeding like a champ no pain:)
