where did everyone's newborns sleep when they came home? we only have a crib, but its in our room. did anyone's baby's go straight to a crib? I always hear of newborns sleeping in bassinets, not cribs

My son is a year old and has slept in the bed with me the whole time
My daughter didn't like her crib but she went in it from the day I brought her home. She sleeps in the same room as us and started sleeping through the night at 4 1/2 months.
My little one is in a sleeper because the crib couldn't fit in our room but when I'm in his room cleaning up and putting away clothes he sleeps perfectly fine in his crib

I got a sleeper rocker and pak n play from family because we couldnt afford a crib and we just didnt have the room for it. Now that I am living with my parents I am planning on getting a crib but probably wont be till income tax time. :/
its all about personal preference some use a basinet some dont:) plus if thr crib is in your room that works out perfectly
my daughter slept in her crib when she got home from the nicu because she didn't like her pack and play. Kirk sleeps in either his pack or play or crib, whichever I decide to put him in lol
