Ok ladies. Let's have a quick discussion. I will start with a question.
Let's say that you gave birth to a beautiful baby on January 1st (yay 😍🍼)!! Okay, so that baby turns 1 month old on February 1st, right?! Right! Let's fast forward 40 weeks which would be October 7th. Your baby just turned 9 months on October 1st....right?!? Awesome!
It's the exact same for pregnancy. You aren't pregnant for 10 months. It doesn't have to be difficult. I don't know about the rest of you, but I do NOT want to be pregnant for 10 months.
@phinnybinz, oh I know. Why can't our main concern be for everyone's baby to be happy and healthy? Lol
@babymama85, it's just one of those things that got under my skin today after seeing a few posts. Sad it turned bitchy like it did. No need for all the patronisation or condescension that it got.
42 weeks is not standard pregnancy. And you are welcome to stop with the condescending names. Let's break it down 52/12 (52 weeks in a year, 12 months) = 4.3. 4.3/10 = 43. You'd have to be pregnant for 43 (forty three) weeks to be pregnant for 10 months.
I'd rather not be able to read a calendar than not know 3rd grade math. Not all women are pregnant for 10 months but if you're 42 weeks pregnant that is 10 months, girly. i really don't know where you're getting that 42 weeks is 9 months.
@kylamommy2016, I've never needed help to know that I'm only pregnant for 9 months. Just as I know my baby isn't 10 months old when 40 weeks pass. But for you time apparently passes differently.
I can't either. lol it's silly. I'm laughing at her. @babynumber2ontheway
@kylamommy2016, 😂😂😂 I can't believe this argument
You might wanna count weeks. Since months confuse you lol
Just let people go by what they want and you go by what you want @phinnybinz
Exactly! That's what I did when I was pregnant @jwalkn4
Some months have more than 4 weeks in them, so that's why it's "not technically" 10 months.. But if you go by the standard 4weeks a m then so be it! Honestly I just count weeks, I'm 36weeks.. Not 8 months and not 9 months. That's why OB using weeks as well because people tend to get confused on the months.
Everyone isn't pregnant for 10 months some babies come early. So you mean to tell me if a woman goes to 42 weeks she's still 9 months pregnant?
@kylamommy2016, "sweetheart" months do not break down into 4 weeks equally.
@r159, No, it's not serious. But people saying you're pregnant for 10 months are wrong and misleading. And for some reason can't read calendars when they get pregnant.
Not saying it does. But counting weekly 40 weeks is 10 months. Sweetheart divide 36 by 4. And do the same for 40 divided by 4. It's basic math
i would really like to know how you aren't grasping the concept of simple multiplication. If 4 weeks make up 1 month. and i am pregnant for 40 weeks. that means i am pregnant for 10 months. because 10 groups of 4 equal to 40.
Show me on a calendar where 36=9 months. Time doesn't magically change for you. @kylamommy2016
No, 40 weeks doesn't. I refer to the reference above. Please Please show me on a calendar how 40 weeks = 10 months.
just because they count it that way doesn't mean they are wrong. & 41 weeks is a little more than 10 months. there are 4 weeks in a month and 4×10=40
Duh 40 weeks does. But I was just saying ain't nothing wrong with being pregnant for a long time.
41 weeks still doesn't equal 10 months. Look at a calendar. And some people are wrong. Time and age doesn't magically change because we are pregnant. @naomiedgd @kylamommy2016
some people count the month as soon as you enter that month. I'm 29 weeks and some people say im 8 months cause im starting the 8th month.
What's wrong with being pregnant for 10 months? I was 41 weeks when my daughter was born.
??????October 2018 babies??????
Congratulations to everyone who have received their bfp!
After having a baby how many months did it take you to get pregnant? Like if you were trying..
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
Biggest Baby on BB
I know I don't have the biggest baby here but I know he's right up there.
This is a huge pet peeve of mine, but I get called names for ever saying anything about it. And why would people count the next month? If you've made it through 6 months, why are you jumping to say you're 7 months now? Personally I just go by weeks while pregnant anyway, but I still know there's only 9 months in one.
