I started testing for LH surges in Oct '15 with these strips. Never once getting it to read positive. Recording, writing, testing - Everything went on the calendar. After 6 months of TTC, I went back to the gyno and she says to get an app and put it all my data in there and it'll *help* us pinpoint our efforts. But we can't do that for too long before making the move to start running tests since it's not like we are in our 20s anymore.
If the app/LH tests don't work, I can do a bunch of blood work and an ultrasound to check if everything is working as it should down there since I am "advanced maternal age". That phrase really makes me feel old...
Insurance doesn't cover infertility testing so I'm looking at $500-600 for these tests. Last month I used just the app (BFN) and this month I am using these LH strips too. If it doesn't take this month, I'm going to have to schedule the tests. I'm reluctant, but mostly fearful it will tell me I can't conceive and all this effort was for nothing. I'm so sad...what a terrible way to start my day.
@vikki655 So that's normal? I thought my policy just sucked
