I'm unsure it's as easy as that, I think the baby has to be signed off by a pediatrician and depends how long it takes to get them around. I don't think they can keep you against your will but obviously they will want to make sure you and baby are fine first. Some people get out straight away, just depends on what happens on the big day I guess xx

If everything goes well and there's no problems I want to be out as soon as possible 😂 I don't do hospitals haha xx

If all baby's checks have been done then it's at your own risk to leave but otherwise I think it's a child safety issue and you could probably get in trouble

I've never been in hospital apart from when I was born so I have no idea what it's like. I think I have that as an advantage haha. But I deffo know I'll be wanting to be home. My midwife was understanding with my birth plan, I just said what happens happens, can't plan anything, because it's unpredictable xx

Not until the baby has had the checks and you seem fit to leave etc :) baby checks are usually done within the first 48 hours :) Maya was weighed at birth..but all the other checks were done 48 hours later :) You just have to see how you feel hun :) xx

I had my son at 10.29pm and was home for 1am 😀 xx

I was in 3 days 42 hours in labour she was born 8.26pm and was out for 4.30pm the next day xx

As long as baby checks are done u can. Things like hearing test are done in hospital near me. Doctors only come round at certain times so it varies how quick u can come out. I hate hospitals. Wanted out waiting for doc with my last baby. Luckily the doc noticed she wasn't feeding well and told me I had to stay. Get her sugars done. 1 hr later she stopped breathing and was rushed to scbu. So I'm so glad she wouldn't let me go. I stayed in another 4 days and then self discharged while baby stayed in another 2 weeks.

I had my daughter at 7am and went home at 4.30pm the same day without her being checked by the dr. I had to take her to my go surgery the next day though @firsttimemummy21 xx

I was in and out of he hospital, giving birth and having all the necessary checks, within 6 hours 😂 xx

I had my son at 5.49am Friday and didn't get out until 7pm Saturday due to there only being one peidiatrician and she was so busy 😩 but after her checks on baby I was discharged within 40 minutes xx

I had Ava at 2.54am and left at 5pm! Just mention to them that you don't want to stay the night and would feel better and more relaxed at home! Xx
