yesterday while being checked by L&D the babies heart rate was around 110-120. Usually his heart rate is around 150-160. The nurse came in and pretty much shook my stomach to get his heart beat up but it only went up to 130 then went back down. Why would they send me home if his heart rate dropped like that? I'm hoping today at my appointment his heart rate is up, if not I'm going to ask them to do something about it.

100 to 160 is normal from what I'm told.

the bigger the baby gets, the more the heart rate is gonna drop. when I first was pregnant she was at 160. then it slowly decreased. now she's in the 120s.

because that's a normal heart rate. when they're sleeping it drops down. all they need is for it spike, showing reactiveness to movement. nothing to be worried about unless it stays below 110 for a period of time.

my little had a period where her heart rate went 190-220 for 10 minutes once. they never figured out why but she's fine

It's normal for a babies heart rate to drop when they're asleep. She probably shook your stomach to wake him up.

Maybe he's just sleeping.
