Okay so who's ready for an intense labor story ? Here it goes... I was scheduled to be induced at 5 pm Wednesday at 36 weeks & 2 days due to cholestasis. They put the Foley bulb in me around 6 pm , around 10:45 pm it fell out , at 4 am they started pitiocin and I was dilated to a 4. At around 6:30 they broke my water and I got the epi. Afterwards about 7:30 nurse kind of messed with baby boy a little trying to bring him down, about an hour later 8:30 I was dilated to a 5 so my doctor came in to check me and also try to bring baby down, not very long after that his heart tones started crashing, they told me he had 2 minutes to get them back to 100 or I'd be rushed to OR. They didn't even wait 1 full minute before they were unhooking me to take me back to "prep" for an emergency c section. They said they would come back and get dad as soon as we were ready & stable. On the way to OR the entire time I had no idea if my son still had a heartbeat, I had doctors and nurses rushing and panicking around and as soon as I got to OR they had trouble finding the heartbeat. When they did it was down to 50, not even 2 seconds later I was strapped down to a table with a curtain in front of me and feeling the slicing of my stomach and pulling through each & every layer , I hear "that's the problem the cord was around his neck" , then I hear a tiny baby cough and the quietest softest cry, that's when they brought him around the curtain checked his stats, I immediately asked them to go get his dad. His dad came in and watched very scared and closely as they cleaned him up, they told him to go over by the table the baby was on and immediately our son rolled over & reached his arms out to his dad, they handed the baby to him as I was being stapled shut, then they slid me over from the operation table ,a bed, handed me the baby & took us back to our room where I had skin to skin for an hour. Literally the scariest moments of our lives but everything has been perfect ever since. #LaborStory
Ik the feeling hun I had a 35 week old that was only 3 lbs 6 oz & I had to b rushed to syrgey after I had him & he was on the way to nicu
Thank you @lil_bigmama ... I had to try my hardest to stay strong & not have an anxiety attack over the fact that I didn't know if he'd be okay & the fact that I'd be going through major surgery alone, but I just closed my eyes and prayed and focused and thought about him & he came out to be the most perfect healthy little boy I could have ever dreamed of having.
I had the epidural but I could still feel it because they didn't have any time to give me anything else stronger at that point. It was slightly numb but I still felt the incision , each layer being pulled back and all of that.
I mean not full on but yes .
