Tmi but I'll be 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 Sunday and for the past 2 days I've been losing pieces of my mucus plug and im very uncomfortable feeling and have back pain. Just wondering if this is normal bc I didnt experience this with my first.

@motherlotus, I know losing your mucus plug generally doesn't mean anything I was just curious bc I never noticed it with my 1st.
I lost my entire mucous plug around 37-38 weeks with my first, and had my bloody show at the same time. Still didn't go into labor and was induced at 39.3. Losing a mucous plug doesn't say anything about when you'll go into labor, contractions will tell you more.
@mommabear3cubs, I know that it is generally normal but to keep losing pieces every time I use the bathroom is that normal? @lilmommy93 I am miserable, my stomach is so tight it hurts and I'm having leg and back pain. I know I'm not 40 weeks but I'm 2 days from full term and I kinda wish he would come on out lol.
at 37 weeks I was having back pain and was losing my mucus plug.. I thought that it was totally normal until I complained about it to my mom. 4 hours later I had my baby. lol
u can loose ur mucus plug multiple times. it grows back. as long as no blood then ur fine. and back pain is normal.
It's still exciting regardless! My midwife told me that means you're around 2-3cm dilated. Which again, doesn't matter because you could be walking around 5cm dilated for weeks and still no baby lol but it's always exciting to reach milestones like that!
