Currently in L&D .. 5 cm dialated. The lady in the room next to me was screaming while pushing and now I'm completely freaked out.
@mamatobe203, No not at all. There was just a ton of pressure with the contractions.
Is totally normal to be scared! Same thing happened to me and I was terrified. However, the pain and pressure get much more intense towards the end and you get to a point where you can't wait to push and get your baby out!!!! It's not a walk in the park... Labor sucks!!! But just keep your eye on the prize. You'll soon be holding your baby. You're almost there. Best of luck to you mama!!
I yelled once not because I was in pain but because all the other girls around me were screaming so much I figured it would get the doctor in faster. Didn't work the doctor literally showed up for 5 minutes enough to pretty much say "ok reach down and grab your baby and pull it out. " I did it with no pain meds too.
I was like that with my middle son I had to do it naturally and I was screaming so loud my dr told me stop screaming your gonna caw everyone else lol. I told her I can't help it, when he was born she said you did great and I think I can hear now LOL
Good luck! Lol girl some people are just more vocal during labor and pushing. My last night in the hospital there was a gal screaming next door. Later I heard the nurses yell, "Nine pounds...eleven ounces!" and thought, yeah, I would've been screaming too! 😂 You're gonna do great!
Pushing really sucks, but if you focus on pushing the right way it should go quick. I had a mirror so when I saw his head coming out I just kept pushing like hell and he came right out.
@mamatobe203, good luck mama!
