Yes, Tylenol afterwards is fine. Before lessens the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Exactly @myjulyprincesseli she was so upset I felt to bad. @mommagotbump16 yea my OB messed up my medical records so I had to get it again for my job 😱 so mommy and baby both in some pain.

I also do it before . My choice on what I feel is best for My daughter . & so far it has worked for us and her doctor gave us the okay too so one happy baby is one happy mommy (:

@brittanycheri, yes afterwards is fine, and ouch on the Tdap! They told me moving that arm as much as possible helps with the pain.

I gave my son Tylenol right after to prevent him from getting a fever and it work...on his second shots I think at 6 months I forget. I didn't give him Tylenol and my poor baby was in pain 😞

My doc told me it was fine. She recommended the Tylenol. Maybe not before but she said after was ok. My sister had always done it before the appointment and her two took the shots great. @decemberbaby @mamesey @mimiz @mommagotbump16 @mommy_faith, no I haven't touched them. I had to get the Tdap (AGAIN) as well so I feel her pain I don't even want to touch my arm.

Yeah don't Tylenol before. It makes the immune system not work with the vaccine 100% like it should. Which, in turn, makes the vaccine less effective.

My son got a high fever at his 2 and 4 month shots and it always started within 6 hours after the shots. I'm sure he'll have another one next week at his 6 month shots. I dread it now because he gets so miserable and doesn't eat and cries in his sleep. I hate seeing him like that. :( Sorry you have to go through it

They don't recommend doing that unless your baby had a mild reaction to a vaccine in the past I believe - something about decreasing immune response and vaccine not being as effective?

Did you pump and massage her legs? That's probably where the pain is coming from. The vaccine can get built up in the injection site and cause pain. I had no idea until my MIL told me.
