I've gone from making 8-10 ounces of milk to 3 ounces. I'm so upset and disappointed. Not only that my newborn gets so frustrated with me trying to nurse him he fights me the whole time.
I was giving him 2 ounces at a time but he was still fussy and chewing on his hand and rooting around. He doesn't spit it up so he must still be hungry. I was worried I was overfeeding him but I looked it up and it says it's hard to overfeed a baby since they will stop when they're full. We just have some growing boys!! @emkasting
I had a stock of milk in the freezer but he's gone through that now and I have to supplement as well. Since he gets a bottle more often now he's hard to nurse anymore 😟
Then when I give him newborn enfamil he seems restless and grunts alot, I hope it isn't giving him a belly ache. I have gentlease to try next, hopefully that will help?
I know the feeling. Oakley eats around 4-5 oz of a time and I make 3-4 oz when I pump. I'm still having to supplement with formula like I was in the hospital and it's killing me :(
My child freaks out and is eating 4 ounces at a time. I can't keep up @emkasting @deckroth2001
Gentlease is what we have for Oakley, the hospital was using it for him when we were there. Also gerber good start gentle, which Oakley likes the taste of more. But he spits up a lot if it's more formula than breast milk in a bottle so I try really hard to only give him my milk but it's becoming impossible. Yesterday he actually did eat way too much I think because he projectile vomited everywhere and I felt sooo bad :( but your little one sounds exactly like O! I'll feed him about 3 oz and afterward he will still be chewing on his hand n stuff! It makes me a little sad that he is taking a bottle and not the breast, I'm trying to get him back used to getting on the breast but when he was in the hospital for 2 weeks he was getting pumped milk in a bottle supplemented with formula so that's kinda what he's gotten used to, so I totally understand how you feel when it comes to that!
