Turn the tv on, or have a different background noise. I always played music, had the tv on or made loud noises while my baby slept so that he got used to it. Noises will always happen, its better not to tiptoe around baby. I understand where you are coming from though, especially if your baby has been fussy. Hopefully your baby stays asleep
