@braxtonsmomma, i understand that- there are a lot of contributing factors for the decrease of SIDS... i was just pointing out pacifiers do not prevent SIDS... ive run into many mothers that have lost their babies and were misinformed
They go by statistics @b3autifulm3ss & by that the SIDS rate has dramatically decreased since the 90's
who is "they" ??? i have three children so no your not giving me any new info but ive known a few pacifier babies that have passed from SIDS and a few non pacifier babies so all i was saying is- you never know-
@b3autifulm3ss, they say it helps prevent SIDS because when a baby sleeps with a pacifier in their mouth they continue to suckle on it and it keeps them breathing. They don't know what causes SIDS but they do have tests that prove with the aid of a pacifier babies who's breath have slowed keep breathing because they have it.
they dont even know what causes SIDS so how can they know how to prevent it 😑 on another note- dont feel bad for giving baby a pacifier- they are a life saver sometimes, i wish my last would have taken one! Just try not to give it to baby all the time so he can learn self soothing also(it will make it so much easier when its time to get rid of it)
well my first son has one still at almost 3. so with my daughter i never gave them to her. but with this baby he just always want to eat or be held and as soon as i gave him the binky he got so quiet and fell asleep on his own @braxtonsmomma
Pacifiers are believed to prevent SIDS, don't feel bad. I gave my baby his the day he was born. Pacis are great. I find them a better alternative to thumb sucking
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!

I will be 41 :/
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
@b3autifulm3ss, They= March of Dimes for one. Every mother needs to do her own research and do what she is comfortable with. I'm not going back and forth with you. I'm a big fan of pacifiers for several reasons and the SIDS factor definitely weighs in. I agree, any child can die of SIDS even when you do everything right. But I choose to follow the guidelines my doctor and March of Dimes recommends.
