Oh okay yeah enfamil doesn't go good for him neither he spits it up so I bought him Similac advanced and he does really good with it @mazeyy09

well the enfamil that the hospital gave us messed up his tummy we had to change it to the sensitive tummy enfamil..just try to breastfeed more when your milk comes in. I only give him maybe 2 bottlia day

Oh okay well that's good @shelsynikkol makes me more comfortable doing both I know other mom who have done it but never asked how it worked out for them @mypreemieprincess yeah the nurses told me at the hospital but he wasn't latching well so I think that's why I felt like he wasn't eating right but now he's a happy camper lol and I am going to do the breast milk when it comes in

yeah it takes milk 3-7 days to come in. the best way to encourage is to put baby on breast and do lots of skin-to-skin. and pumping. just remember that newborns tummies are the size of a walnut, don't need much to be full and your body will provide exactly what they need.

I can only give my little one kind of formula, but haven't introduced it and want to hold off as long as possible because I love breast feeding but her medical issues may get in the way

no it doesn't at all. the hospital actually told me too and his doctor said everything was good. his blood sugars were really low so doing both helped it stay at a good level. I'm glad I do both because one boob produces way more milk then the other one.

Oh okay so it doesn't mess with their tummies ? That's what I'm worried about @mazeyy09 @shelsynikkol and yeah @mypreemieprincess I started at the hospital to breast feed and it's difficult then too my milk hasn't came in its just colostrum and I felt like he wasn't eating right so I started him on formula but when my milk comes in I want to give him that milk as well

I do both. my baby is doing just fine sometimes he prefers to have my boob and other days he likes the bottles and formula better

I hear supplementing can be difficult. I may have to do it soon for medical reasons
