Can a 5 day old baby use nursery baby water with fluoride to mix with formula for feedings?

@shan548, I would say depends on how old the baby is. I used distilled with my son but first used the infant water before she told me about the added minerals that clog baby up. just depends on what your little gets used to. I would think using purified bottled water would be ok.

They normally have one with fluoride and one without. At Walmart it's the one with purple writing without it.

it's best to just use distilled. no extra minerals added to clog baby up. (rd at wic told me)

I haven't looked at that in a grip. I'd find a kind of nursery water flouride free.

So what's the best water to mix with formula? I breastfed and my pediatrician doesn't have a nurse line to call for answers because I know I'm going to have a grouchy baby tonight.

I personally wouldnt use fluoride water. considering childrens toothpaste at young stages is fluoride free.
